Lokmantra Haryana Poll Observer is an initiative of Ajay Goyal to provide a public platform to ensure integrity of election process.
At LokMantra we believe that democracy is more than a vote. It is engamenet and informed involvement of masses in the whole democractic process. The public must act as a custodian of the democratic process by asking questions, participating as watchdogs of electoral process, reporting issues and discussing issues.
LokMantra Votewatch allows reports and issues to be sent directly to Election Commission of India that are added through email-SMS and Web at www.lokmantra.in/votewatch/
The Haryana Poll Observer is based on a world election and crises observation platform developed by the gifted team at www.ushahidi.org The platform has been deployed worldwide by social activists and non-profit organizations.
We received valuable inputs and support from Selavam velmurugan and Mike Mathieu of eMoksha.org
The Vote Observer is managed under keen supervision of research journalist Dinesh Singh Rawat in Chandigarh who works with many citizen journalists in the state.
Harayana Poll Observer was ably deployed in record time by Sidharth Goyal.

At LokMantra we believe that democracy is more than a vote. It is engagement and informed involvement of masses in the whole democractic process. The public must act as a custodian of the democratic process by asking questions, participating as watchdogs of electoral process, reporting issues and discussing issues. This is a tool to enable and empower the masses in pursuit of a better democracy.

LokMantra helps petitions to be sent directly and to the elected representatives as well as administrators.

This tool is based on the crisis observation platform developed by the enormously talented and gifted team of developers at www.ushahidi.org who share their knowledge freely. The platform has been deployed worldwide by social activists and non-profit organizations and now being tested in a pilot project in Chandigarh.
